Straight answers.
How are mechanics vetted?
Government ID, proof of liability insurance, and proof for their tier: a state repair license, ASE/manufacturer certifications, or an established business (LLC, business license, EIN). A person reviews every application. Ratings and repeat cancellations are monitored after that.
Can I cancel?
Free until a mechanic accepts. After that a small fee ($10–$40 depending on how far along they are) goes to the mechanic for their time.
Where can the work be done?
Your driveway, your apartment or workplace parking lot — anywhere flat and safe where it's permitted. Not sure about your building's rules? Ask your mechanic in the chat before they head over.
What if I don't know what's wrong?
Book a diagnostic. One flat price, a mechanic comes out and tells you exactly what it is and what the fix costs. Approve it in the app and the diagnostic fee comes off the repair — you never pay for both.
How do I pay?
In the app, when the job is marked complete — card or Apple Pay via Stripe. Your card is saved for next time. Tips go 100% to the mechanic.
